On the last Saturday of the school holidays, Sophie, Harry, Colt, Mia, and Emily travelled down to Horsham with their parents where they then hopped on a bus to go to Ballarat to watch a game of the AFLW.

They watched the Western Bulldogs vs St Kilda, where Bulldogs won by thirty points.

After the game, the students took photos with the Bulldogs players and received some merchandise that they were lucky enough to get signed by the players.

They all enjoyed the opportunity to watch this game and meet some of the players.

On Thursday, October 8, Denzel, Mia, and Emily attended the Greater Western Region Athletics in Ballarat.

Denzel competed in the shot put, Emily in discus, and Mia in both 200m and 800m events.

All three students showed great determination and represented our school proudly throughout the day.

On Tuesday, October 13, the Year 9 class ran R U OK? Day, preparing lunch for the whole school.

R U OK? Day encourages people to connect with others and ask, “Are you OK?”.

The P–10 students also participated in a related Buddies activity, watching a video about how to support someone who may be struggling.

They then worked in their groups to discuss who they can turn to for help in different situations.

They spent time preparing to represent their school and discuss important issues affecting rural communities.

On Thursday, they presented to the Education Department about problems faced in rural communities.

They shared their ideas and experiences to help raise awareness and explain how these challenges affect the community.

That night, they attended their Graduation Night, celebrating their achievements and everything they had learnt throughout the program.

On Friday, Spencer and Ben travelled home after a busy few days.

On Thursday, October 15, Luca and Charlie travelled down to Melbourne to present their business plan for their new business, L’Chal Luxe Fitness.

After spending considerable time researching, planning, and developing their ideas, they were excited to have the opportunity to present their vision and explain what they hoped to achieve with the gym.

During the presentation, Luca and Charlie outlined their plans for L’Chal Luxe Fitness, including the concept of the business, the services they would provide, their target customers, and what would make their gym different from other fitness centres.

The P–6 students engaged in a week of dance lessons in preparation for showcasing their dances at the Awards Night later this year. The students have been working hard to learn and practise their routines and are excited to perform for the school community.
